Yes, under 50 grams of carbs a day,or 30 grams of net carbs per day would be similiar to following a Keto type diet.

I follow Atkins and only eat 20 g of carbs per day. I’m very strict w/ myself. I track all my food. Never cheat. Does this mean I’m doing a Keto diet?

That’s a good point. We do respond to carbs differently and this is likely to affect which diet is best.

For me, one of the key factors in determining which diet (low carb vs Keto) is best for you is how insulin resistant you are. Any diet that limits carbs and promotes healthy fats is better than the typical SAD or LFHC (for most people) but if you are type II diabetic, going Keto will provide the biggest relief from the illness in the shortest order. For those that are not as unhealthy, a low carb diet will help them stay that way. Thanks for sharing!
