Unfortunately it seems to be one of those products that is all hype and no substance. I suspect most of the people who do see benefits get those from the placebo effect.

I’m sorry you’re having a rough time of it.

He got this sample and while I have seen an increase in his sex talk I guess you would say that is all. And he seems a bit more aggressive than he was before he started this in that he says things I have never heard him say before. I am a little shocked actually. I personally will be glad when the trial stuff is gone and hopefully being a tight wad he wont buy any more. It has not helped our sex life and he led me to believe that is why he wanted to try it, and in fact, I think things are worse off now than before. I have not noticed any change in his physical appearance either and he works out every day and has been for years. So as a wife, I cannot see the benefit of this product. I love my husband dearly and want more than anything to have a healthy happy sex life but I don’t think this was the answer.

I agree with you about taking anything that impacts with hormones. There are many potential side effects from doing so and people often don’t realize the risks before they get involved.

Unfortunately, it’s easy to believe that the side effects cannot be too bad if the product is over the counter. But, there is still significant risk.

Personally, I am against taking any hormonal supplement unless it is prescribed by a qualified physician. You’re right that some of the formulations do seem to work better than others and yes, some of the ingredients used have more evidence than others.

Still, those ingredients that you mention can be obtained in independent supplements too and other products offer them as well. So, there are cheaper options for the same benefits.

That’s what I call in the depths of an in-depth. Cheers bro!

Now, looking at this Nugenix booster, a few things caugth my attention while reading your review. Bascially the first of the three versions (testosterone booster) seems to lack key ingredients to be really effective for boosting our manly hormone. Don’t you think?

However, the second one (ultimate testosterone) seems like an ideal choice. D-Aspartic acid (3grs) and fenugreek are proven and many people including myself love them. Sure, this particular product might be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for!

Part of the popularity seems to be that the marketing makes men feel inadequate and desperate. So, they can end up willing to try something like this just because it may work.

For that matter, much of the marketing for Nugenix and similar products actually convinces people that they have a problem in the first place. For example, if you listen to enough ads that suggest you are low in energy, it can be easy to believe that. As a result, some people turn to Nugenix to try and fix problems that they never truly have.

After reading your review about this product, it makes me think that the propaganda for raising testosterone is high. I would be highly surprised that men will fall for this. Nutrient rich pee is right. So many products like this fail to offer benefits at all. As for benefits for women, I imagine there are some tied to testosterone, still, a supplement like this isn’t the way to go.

What you mention about paracetamol is interesting and probably applies to most pain killers. Realistically, that one is a good example of the placebo effect in action. Often taking a painkiller is enough to decrease the pain we experience – even in cases where the pill itself doesn’t directly do anything for the pain.

I don’t think a doctor would recommend this either. Realistically, if you had a health condition where you needed extra testosterone, your doctor would be able to prescribe something that did this.

The thing that annoys me the most about Nugenix is that most of their marketing focuses on the benefits of increased testosterone. Yet, they fail to prove that the product is able to raise testosterone levels.
